Before Air Max was iconic in the mainstream, it was flexed by icons of the underground. So to celebrate Air Max Day, we elevated New York City’s underground music scene the same way artists did back in the day: through pirate airwaves.

93.26 FM
We partnered with Nike to launch a local radio station within the JD Sports store in the heart of Times Square.

The reason? To give underground artists the exposure they deserve, while dropping exclusive kicks. The show even included a classic radio hotline for listeners to call in and participate in the next drop.

 

BOILER ROOM
To make our show a hit, we enlisted the biggest underground music broadcaster, Boiler Room, to bring in up-and-coming local NYC artists to perform live.
